Diagnosis
What this notice means
The reported file contains more rows than the validator's processing limit permits.
Operational effect
Why it matters
Validation may stop before the file is fully checked; this alone does not prove that its rows are invalid.
Scope
Files to check and report fields
Use the file or input resource identified in the report. Check the message and available context fields; runtime failures may not identify a GTFS row.
| Report field | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
filename | string | Name of the CSV file that has too many rows. |
rowNumber | integer | Number of the row when reading was stopped. |
Repair
How to fix it
- 1
Check
filename, the reported row position, and the runtime's size limits. - 2
Remove accidental duplicate exports or unintended historical data. If the file is legitimately large, use an appropriate supported runtime or feed-publication strategy; do not truncate required trips arbitrarily.
- 3Check the result
Run validation again and confirm that it completes, including the previously failed stage. Review the complete report; an interrupted check does not establish that the feed is valid.
